About Us

We are a small workshop coiling bee skeps by hand from straw. To us a skep is more than a straw dome: coiled and bound by hand, it carries an old craft and, cared for, it lasts for years. That is what our work is about.

What pleases us most are the beekeepers and museums that come back, and the skeps used and kept for years. That is the sign that craft and tradition are worth something.

We work by hand. Preparing the straw, coiling round on round, binding with cane, shaping and finishing, step by step, with patience. It is quiet, traditional work, and that is where the difference lies.
